Hershey's Chocolate Cake

2 c. sugar
1 3/4 c. flour
3/4 c. cocoa
1 1/2 t. baking powder
1 1/2 t. baking soda
1 t. salt
2 eggs
1 c. milk
1/2 c. vegetable oil
2 t. vanilla
1 c. boil water

Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine dry ingedients in large bowl. Add eggs, milk, oil and vanilla. Beat for 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in boiling watter. (Batter will be thin.) Pour into two 9" round greased and flour pans. Bake 30-35 minutes. Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pans to wire rack. cool completely. Frost.

Chocolate Frosting:

1/2 c. butter
2/3 c. cocoa
3 c. powdered sugar
1/3 c. milk
1 t. vanilla

Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powdered sugar and milk, beating on medium speed to spreading consistency. Add vanilla.
