Teach Me

Teach me to ask “Why?” less and to say, “I trust You” more.

Teach me to cease repeating “My will be done” and to beseech You that “Your will be done."

Teach me to hope in Your true word not in my perception of what I want Your word to be.

Teach me to say “I believe” more and to say “Make me understand” less.

Teach me to climb on the altar more times in a day than I try to squirm off.
Teach me to pray “Make me more like Jesus” more and “Make me happy” less.

Teach me to ask “How did You choose that?” less and to say, “Thank You” more.
