My Travels to Mexico

I left for Mexico two weeks ago, for a five-day long mission trip with my brother-in-law, Adam. I had a great experience - receiving such warm hospitality, enjoying the friendship of Adam, and having the chance to share in construction jobs.

2011 FFA Tractor Show!

This Saturday I woke up bright and early and went to set up a farm display with my friend Isaac and his dad. We formed bright green hills and long brown roads out of sawdust. We also put up fences and placed buildings and all kinds of vehicles from trucks to tractors on the specified areas. We received 3rd and had a great time enjoying our country scenery. The "farm" was owned by a rich retired oil baron who owned over 35 tractors, believe me tractors are not cheap, and a fine selection of bovines.
The "clay" road.

A steer being loaded up into the trailer to be taken away to be made into burgers.

The grass looked greener on the other side of the fence.

Some of the "farmer's" antique tractors on display along with his BMW.

The south end.

International harvesting.

Drainage excavation.

The tractor shed.

Beef cows......wait what is that in the backround?

Its a police chase from the "Dukes of Hazard" !

Cows cooling off in the "pond".

Yeah 3rd place!

After Demoliton Comes Rebuilding

Our friend and contractor, Lawrence, and Jacob got to work quickly after the demoliton. They took out our bay window and will soon be putting up cabinets, sheetrock, tile, and the many other things essential to building a new kitchen.

Work Work Work All Day Long

Luke has been such a hard worker this week in beginning the major project of staining the house...

...even if the sun is beating down on his back!

And sometimes he can convince his sisters to come outside and help...

...because working together is so much more enjoyable.

The finished product.
