My Little Brother...

... turned seventeen today. He has become quite a young man now. This past year, he has taken on the responsibilities of being the oldest brother at home which he throughly enjoys and does a stellar job. When I came home from college this summer, I was a bit shocked to see how much he has grown. But I know that as he gets older, he will never lose his squinty eyes and his winning smile! Happy Birthday, JB!

Anniversary Celebration

Mom and Dad traveled to the Adirondacks this past weekend for a much deserved and an overdue anniversary getaway. The highlight of the trip was their early morning hike to the top of Mount Ampersand. According to Mom, it was the best mountain hike ever!

Happy 31st Anniversary, Mom and Dad!

Hay! That’s What I Make.

The alarm clock went off early this morning! We beat the summer heat by heading over to Middlevale Farm at five-thirty to unload four wagon loads of hay.

Strawberries Fields Forever

One of my favorite activities to do during the summer is to go strawberry picking. Today, my mom and I went to a local farm to pick strawberries and it was pouring rain!

New Life at Bentley Farm

Mumble and Bumble, the two latest chicks, children of Polly, the broody hen, now reside in the basement in their own private apartment. They were born yesterday morning and are little cute balls of fluff. (Mumble is the dark one, and Bumble is the lighter chest colored one.)

Justin, John and Mike drove up to Bentley Farm for the weekend from Princeton. Interspersed between rain showers, sunshine, thunderstorms and cumulous clouds, we cut down dead trees, grilled a barbecue, went to Sunday meeting in Millbrook, ate pizza in Poughkeepsie and walked across the Hudson River. Meanwhile Hannah and Rebecca spent most of the weekend at Camp Cedarbrook up in the Adirondacks with the girls from Pioneer Clubs. Justin Corelli (another friend from a class of Princeton past) joined us for dinner tonight after which commenced an evening of baseball, soccer and human pyramiding. Summer is here and coming!
